The first IMAGINARY exhibition is shown in Munich, at the Campus Garching of the Technical University. Originally planned until the end of December, it is so successful that it is extended until January 18th.

Opening: Monday, December 10th 2007, 10 am

The first IMAGINARY exhibition takes place at the Campus Garching of the Technical University of Munich. It features the IMAGINARY cube with 39 images of algebraic surfaces, a showcase with several exhibits, a film station and three interactive stations where visitors can use mathematical software. School groups and individual visitors can get explanations and guided tours by students of the TU Munich.

Tuesday, December 11th 2007, 12 pm – 1 pm: Guest Lecture by Prof. Hermann Karcher, Bonn: „Mathematischer Rundgang in 3D“ 

Tuesday, December 11th 2007, 4 pm – 5 pm: Lecture by Prof. Oliver Junge: „Choreografie im All – Satelliten auf der Suche nach Leben im Universum“

Tuesday, December 18th 2007, 4 pm – 5 pm: Lecture by Prof. Richter-Gebert: „Symmetrie am Rande des Chaos – Ein kleiner Spaziergang“

Wednesday, December 19th 2007, 2 pm – 3 pm and Thursday, December 20th, 11 am – 12 am: Two lectures by Andreas Kolbe: „Options, Futures, Risk, Return – Was ist Finanzmathematik?“
