Education: Doctorate in Mathematics (2016), IST, University of Lisbon

Research interest: Mathematical modeling, mathematical analysis and numerical methods for Partial Differential Equations, with applications to Fluid Mechanics and Mass Transport.

Research experience: Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation in cardiovascular system: coupled problems of mechanical and biochemical interaction of fluid-structure type, associated to the processes of inflammation, movement of cells, atherosclerotic plaque formation and blood clotting.
