Das Heft besteht aus 77 Aufgaben, die Denkkultur entwickeln helfen und vom Autor ausgewählt oder entworfen wurden. Die meisten davon setzen keine über Grundbildung hinausgehenden Kenntnisse voraus. Sie zu lösen kann jedoch auch für Professoren eine Herausforderung sein. Das Buch richtet sich an Schüler und Studenten, Lehrer, Eltern - an jeden, der Denkkultur für einen wichtigen Teil der Persönlichkeitsentwicklung hält.

„Ich brachte diese Aufgaben im Frühjahr 2004 in Paris zu Papier, als russischstämmige Pariser mich baten, ihren Kindern die russische Denkkultur nahezubringen. Ich bin zutiefst überzeugt, dass diese Kultur vor allem durch frühes eigenständiges Nachdenken über einfache, aber nicht leichte Fragen wie die untenstehenden hervorgebracht wird (Aufgaben 1,3 und 13 empfehle ich besonders)…“
