The National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS) presents IMAGINARY exhibition at the 2016 Korea “Edu-Donation” fair, the largest nationwide education fair in Korea.

Organized by the Korean Ministry of Education, the Korea “Edu-Donation”* Fair (대한민국 교육기부 박람회) is an annual nationwide fair about everything on educational offerings, open to every students. Various exhibits range from showcase for after-school classes and school study club activities, job experience opportunities and career counseling, culture shows and special lectures, etc. The theme “Edu-Donation” - Korean neologism which can be best interpreted as “volunteering for education” - aims to provide diverse education experiences for anyone through various contributing agents.

As one of permanent IMAGINARY hosting institutions, the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS) proudly presents NIMS-IMAGINARY to the fair. Our IMAGINARY exhibition will add special flavor to the scene as the sole math program participating and provide unique interactive experience with mathematics.

Alongside the IMAGINARY exhibition, NIMS hosts two events including special ‘talk-concert’ titled “Oh? Math Everywhere!” by Seungjai Lee (NIMS) and Seok Hyeong Lee (NIMS) (9.24 Sat 14:00-15:30) and the drawing event “I’m pattern artist!” where participants can draw own ornamental patterns and vote others using the IMAGINARY program Morenaments.
