Lancement d'IMAGINARY France

Ce samedi 21 mars 2015 à 13:30 à la Bibliothèque de l’Alcazar à Marseille a lieu le lancement public d’IMAGINARY France. Cet événement s’insère dans le Forum des Mathématiques Vivantes et est accompagné d’une exposition grand public «Mathématiques Vivantes et Visuelles» sous l’ombrière du Vieux Port de Marseille.

Le contenu de l’exposition marseillaise, proposée par le Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM) et la chaire Jean-Morlet, présente une large sélection d’images de Herwig Hauser, actuellement titulaire de cette chaire à Marseille et collaborateur de longue date d’IMAGINARY. L’exposition présente aussi une sélection de contributions françaises et francophones.

Le lancement ce samedi présentera la version française de la plateforme,, ainsi que le logiciel emblématique SURFER en français. Les prochains buts du projet IMAGINARY France, soutenu par Cap’Maths et membre du réseau AudiMath, incluent la production d’une exposition itinérante en France pour 2016 et l’accroissement des contributions de la communauté des mathématiques française et francophone à la plateforme.

Mathematics of Planet Earth, UNESCO, the International Mathematical Union (IMU), the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI), and IMAGINARY are announcing the winners of the second international competition for exhibition modules for the Open Source Exhibition Mathematics of Planet Earth (MPE).
