Together with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) South Africa and the AIMS Next Einstein Initiative, IMAGINARY is planning a series of events to boost mathematics communication on the African continent in the near future. 2014년 여름 서울 세계수학자대회의 성공적인 NIMS-IMAGINARY 전시 이후, 국가수리과학연구소(NIMS)는 NIMS의 수학원리응용센터(CAMP) 내부 공간에서 ICM 전시의 최고의 전시물(프로그램 모듈, 이미지, 영상, 조각)들을 모두 모아 IMAGINARY 상설전시를 해 왔습니다. 현재까지 30개 이상의 단체에서 학생, 교사, 수학자 분들 800여명이 방문하여 좋은 반응을 얻었지만, 방문자들은 IMAGINARY 홈페이지에 한국어 페이지가 없어 더 많은 소통을 하기 힘든 점을 아쉬워하였습니다. 이제 CAMP의 NIMS-IMAGINARY 팀의 작업에 힘입어서, IMAGNIARY 웹페이지의 한국어판을 드디어 공개하게 되었습니다. 이를 계기로 수학에 관심이 있는 더 많은 사람들이 IMAGINARY에 관심을 가져 주기를 바랍니다.
한국어 홈페이지 공개와 함께, NIMS에서는 4월 24일부터 26일까지 2015년 대한수학회 봄 연구발표회에서 IMAGINARY 전시를 계획하고 있습니다. 국내 수학자들이 모두 모여 연구결과를 발표하고 대한수학회의 발전을 의논하는 이 자리에서 수학자들 및 대중들에게 IMAGINARY를 널리 알리고자 하는 것이 NIMS의 바램입니다.
