IMAGINARY will be present at the Science Fair Latitud Ciencias at the Atrio de la Intendencia of Montevideo. It is one of the biggest science fairs, in 2013 more than 30 000 visitors enjoyed interactive science presentations by researchers and members of the Facultad de Ciencias (Universidad de la República).
Visitors can enjoy science stands of all sciences, listen to talks on science for a general public and participate in the many activities especially designed for youngsters and school students. Find out, how a scientist in Uruguay works, visit our Antarctica installation with all details on current research on the white continent, explore the Megafauna exhibition, with many animal exhibits from the Museu Nacional de Historia Natural, and much more!
The mathematics department will present three programs from IMAGINARY: SURFER, Morenaments and Cinderella. Mathematicians and students will explain all details on these interactive and creative software programs. There will also be a special competition for beautiful algebraic surfaces you can create with SURFER and then upload at an online platform.
