On October 20th, the cultural space Movilizarte (MOV) in San Nicolás de los Arroyos (Argentina) is hosting ARTEMÁTICA, an event that intertwines art and mathematics to cultivate an environment fostering the observation, analysis, and interpretation of artworks. This interactive day encourages both students and the community to engage in artistic expression through the creation of plastic art inspired by mathematical and scientific concepts, resulting in a rich interdisciplinary experience.
Different contents will be presented in juxtaposition between art and mathematics, such as Fibonacci, the golden number, tessellations, and key artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Escher. Also, diverse didactic materials and current technologies, such as projections, 3D printing and augmented reality can be explored. Participants will explore algebraic equations to visually experience captivating surfaces that transport their thoughts to unexpected corners of the mind.
ARTEMATICA features elements from IMAGINARY, such as pictures and 3D prints.
