“Mathe x anders - Die Magie der Formen und Muster” (Maths differently - the magic of forms and patterns) is a special exhibition by the phæno museum Wolfsburg, Germany. It shows more than 30 phenomena (interactive stations) and is the first special exhibition of phæno with a main focus on geometric forms and solids in all its facets.

The new phenomena (stations) allow an insight into the fascinating world of geometry: climb on three dimensional stars, rotate figures, fold Origami forms or play with bizarre objetcs as oloids – it is all a lot of fun and will challenge your brains!

The exhibition unveals several geometrical secrets: a laser ray, so called “fire ring”, splits complex geometrical solids optically and shows its sctructure. Straight lines make hyperboloids - a type of cylinder with a tiny waist - and a curved two-dimensional figure rotates to shape the form of a bulb. Many of the inter-connections of the abstract world of numbers are shown through the stations, through the objects, solids, spaces in an aesthetic way.

One of the IMAGINARY modules, Morenaments, is shown in this exhibition.

More information on the museum and exhibition can be found on the phæno web page.
