IMAGINARY showcases the new exhibit RRRRR about the circular economy of smartphones at Futurium Berlin. It is part of the new annual theme about raw materials.
RRRRR is an interactive exhibit designed as a multiplayer cooperative simulation game. Its main aim is to learn about the five key strategies of the Circular Economy: Reduce, Repair, Reuse, Refurbish, and Recycle. The ultimate goal is to establish a functional circular economy model centered around smartphones collectively.
The exhibit revolves around a dynamic simulation depicting smartphone production and usage lifecycle. Visitors can engage with the simulation through a game mechanic based on worker placement. This mechanic allows them to modify various model parameters by triggering specific actions and events.
By participating in this interactive experience, visitors can directly shape the simulation’s development and influence its stakeholders. These engagements provide valuable insights into how the principles of reducing, repairing, reusing, refurbishing, and recycling impact the economy in real-world scenarios.
The exhibit is shown in the Futurium Lab.
