IMAGINARY comes to Denmark for the first time in spring and summer 2013. An exhibition in Aarhus shows 22 IMAGINARY pictures, accompanied by several 3D prints of algebraic surfaces and a movie with mathematical animations.
You can experience the IMAGINARY science and art exhibition at the Steno Museum in Aarhus from 4 April to the end of August 2013. See the opening hours and details on the venue at stenomuseet.dk.
Apart from the original IMAGINARY content, the exhibition features several 3D prints based on models by Oliver Labs and Steen Markvorsen or purchased via Shapeways and some glass cubes from Oliver Labs.
There is also a movie with animations by Etienne Ghys and Jos Leys, which accompanies two of the images. The movie was created by fusing the various short clips from the electronic article “Lorenz and Modular Flows: A Visual Introduction”, available at http://www. ams.org/samplings/feature-column/fcarc-lorenz.
Aarhus University’s Centre for Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces and Department of Mathematics are responsible for bringing the exhibition to Denmark, in collaboration with the Danish Mathematical Society (DMF).
