SURFER 2048 - simple and addictive!
The original 2048 online puzzle game was created by 19 year old Italian developer Gabriele Cirulli (see the original game). It instantly became a massive viral hype, probably because it is beautiful in its simplicity. Are you addicted yet?
Try our SURFER version of the game!
Be careful, it is fiendishly addictive!
The tiles show beautiful animated algebraic surfaces, getting more and more complex. The degree of the surfaces and the numbers of singularities increase as you advance playing. You can also keep playing to beat your friend’s score even after winning the game.
2 - Sphere
4 - Cylinder
8 - Double Cone
16 - A3 Singularity
32 - Cayley Cubic
64 - Kummer Quartic
128 - Togliatti Quintic

2048 - play the game and find out!
Which strategy wins the game? If you want to figure out by yourself, stop reading here!
Hints we found useful, in order of priority:
1. Highest value should always be in a corner.
2. Build monotone rows and lines (or chains) increasing towards this corner.
3. Merge tiles with the same image to save your board from becoming over crowded.
4. Don’t forget about your basic needs like food and sleep.
Now have fun playing!
Note: You can also create your own 2048-game using this free tool. It is based on Gabriele Cirulli’s MIT-licensed 2048, which was inspired by 1024 by Veewo Studio and conceptually similar to Threes by Asher Vollmer.
