IMAGINARY gGmbH, der SFB/TRR 109 und der SFB 647 rufen zu einem Wettbewerb in der kreativen Szene Berlins und Umgebung auf. Angesprochen werden vor allem Studierende entsprechender Fachrichtungen aber auch freischaffende Künstler und Designer. Ziel des Wettbewerbs sind neue kreative Ideen und deren Umsetzung, die auf einem mathematischen Konzept beruhen.
Der Wettbewerb besteht aus drei Events:
27. Januar 2017 18 Uhr im Mathematik-Gebäude der Technischen Universität Berlin (MA004) Mathematische Grundgedanken werden durch inspirierende kurze Vorträge von Mitarbeitern der beiden Sonderforschungsbereiche vorgestellt.
“Creative Output” 24. März 2017 18 Uhr in den Räumlichkeiten der spektrum art&science community Die teilnehmenden Teams stellen ihre Ideen vor. Die Jury wählt die vielversprechendsten Mathematik-Kunst-Projekte zur Förderung aus.
“Exhibition” 5. Mai 2017 18 Uhr in den Räumlichkeiten der spektrum art&science communityDie Events sind öffentlich, alle Interessierten sind herzlich eingeladen! Eine professionelle Filmcrew unter Leitung der Filmemacherin Ekaterina Eremenko (Colors of Math 2012, Discrete Charme of Geometry 2015) wird die Events sowie den Entstehungsprozess der geförderten Projekte film-dokumentarisch festhalten. Daraus wird ein Dokumentarfilm entstehen, in dem die Wettbewerbsgewinner sowie ihre Math Creations die Hauptrolle spielen. Der Film wird international aufgeführt werden. Die Wettbewerbssieger erhalten eine Förderung in Höhe von insgesamt maximal 3738,- EUR zur Realisierung ihrer Werke, die im Mai ausgestellt werden.
Die Ergebnisse der produktiven Phase werden vorgestellt und Prototypen der fertigen Exponate ausgestellt.
