We were calling students of the Art and Design fields as well as independent Artists and Designers to participate in the Math Creations contest for Art, Design and Mathematics. The goal of the contest was to create new creative ideas based on mathematical concepts and to realize them. This project is organized by the special research fields “Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics” and “Raum - Zeit - Materie. Analytische und Geometrische Strukturen” in collaboration with IMAGINARY.
This is the third public event of the Math Creations Project. The results of the productive phase will be presented and exhibited. Besides the participants, we invite representatives of the press, artists and designers as well as mathematicians. There will be a film crew recording the event.
