IMAGINARY at the Bridges Conference 2013
IMAGINARY is part of the Bridges Conference 2013 in Enschede, Netherlands in the end of July. Two contributions about IMAGINARY have been accepted as regular papers and will be presented at the conference.
The International annual conference of Bridges: Mathematical Connections in Art, Music, and Science was created in 1998 and is conducted annually. It has provided a remarkable model of how seemingly unrelated and even antipodal disciplines, such as mathematics and art, can be crossed. During the conference, practicing mathematicians, scientists, artists, educators, musicians, writers, computer scientists, sculptors, dancers, weavers, and model builders have come together in a lively and highly charged atmosphere of mutual exchange and encouragement.
At this year’s conference, IMAGINARY will be present with two contributions: One paper on “SURFER in Math Art, Education and Science Communication” by Andreas Matt and Anna Hartkopf and one paper with the title “How to make an IMAGINARY exhibition” by Sebastian Uribe, Andreas Matt and Susanne Schimpf will be presented.
